ABOUT ME

Renée is an experienced mental health clinician and has been practicing in the field since the late 90’s. She is informed by several evidence based; modalities in her clinical practice – delivering counselling to individuals, couples and families. The therapeutic work that Renee draws upon is mindfulness, somatic experiencing, DBT, EMDR, family therapy, ACT, CBT and is informed in both ego state therapy and internal family systems.

Renee is accredited with EMDRAA the governing body for EMDR therapy and she works EMDR in with other therapies such as ego state therapy and internal family systems in order to assist with development trauma. Renee is credentialled in DBT, has attended Imagery Rescripting training and facilitates work with ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), is a court reportable family therapist and also uses, solution focused therapy and CBT where necessary.

Renée is passionate about assisting clients to understand the reasons behind their presenting issues, and help them develop strategies to manage these issues, so clients are better equipped to handle the various stressors that life can present. 

Renée can assist with any emotional concerns such as self-esteem and self-confidence, anxieties, including separation anxiety and social anxiety, low mood, depression and suicidal ideation, grief and loss, PTSD, trauma, sexuality, abuse including childhood abuse, addictions, domestic violence, ADHD and anger management. 

Renée is non-judgemental and has a holistic approach to clients  wellbeing, in a warm, empathetic manner. Renée believes it is important for you to feel safe enough to explore and express your feelings and help you find ways to manage your feelings more effectively and make the changes you want to make.
